As you confirm your faith in

God the Father, God the Son

your heart to love Him

and your spirit to experience His presence.

Then you will know the fullness of His love

and the richness of His blessing

Lord, we bring to You the lonely and uncertain. Will You come to them?

To the lonely I will come to be Your companion,

for I know what it`s like to be lonely.

To the weak in spirit I will come to be with you,

for I have faced temptation and difficult decisions.

To the unsure, I will come to lead you like a shepherd.I understand

and have spent much time alone with my Father in prayer.

Lord Jesus, we bring to You those who have problems. Will You come to them?

To the alcoholic and drug addict, I will come to take away

your cravings and dependency

and give you my love in your heart.

To the depressed, I will come to nourish your soul

and give you a purpose for living.

To the homeless I will come to say ,

“I understand,” for I was a homeless refugee.

To the dispossessed I will come

to give you a place in my kingdom,

for I was a stranger in an alien land.

Lord Jesus, we bring to You the sick and dying. Will You come to them?

To the sick I will come to hold your hand,

for I know what it`s like to suffer and experience pain.

To those who weep, I will come to wipe away your tears

for I know what it`s like to cry.

To the mourning I will come to share your sorrow,

for I know what it`s like to lose a loved one.

To the dying I will come to be your companion

as you journey to the celestial city which is your home.

PRAYERS OF CONFESSION

(1 John 1 : 9)

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just

And will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness


Lord, forgive us that so often we ignore the grime which soils our lives

  • For the words we have spoken which have caused hurt to others

  • For neglecting the needs of others, putting ourselves first

  • For not listening when others want to talk about their problems, for being unwilling to share their burdens

  • For days when we forget You and go our own way

Lord God, hear the prayers from our hearts and forgive.

We pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for our minds

Forgive us for the times when we have thoughts which are displeasing to You

Thank You for our eyes

Forgive us for the times when we look at things which are displeasing to You

Thank You for our speech

Forgive us for the times when we say things which are displeasing to You

Thank You for our hands

Forgive us for the times when we use them to do things which are displeasing to You

Thank You for our feet

Forgive us for the times when we have walked on paths which are displeasing to You


In the stillness think about past times. Is there something which you need to bring to the foot of the cross, something for which You need God`s forgiveness.

Thank You that You forgive us when we truly repent

Lead us out from darkness into the light of Your glorious presence.

Prayer of Repentance Before Remarriage – for our wedding 3rd February 1979

Our heavenly Father, in Your presence and before this congregation, we express our sorrow for anything in our behaviour and attitude that may have caused the breakdown of our marriages.

We freely forgive our previous partners for any wrong they may have done to us.

We are deeply sorry that we failed to keep the vows we sincerely made before You and humbly pray for Your forgiveness and pardon. Amen.
